If you have a passion for empowering children and don't have the tools that feel right

— Lorna & Jac, Founders
At The Wee Coaching Company, we are a small team with a big mission: to empower children and young people's mental strength and resilience. Founded and run by Scottish twin sisters working in education and health, we are dedicated to positively impacting the lives of young people and the caring adults around them.
We believe every child and young person has the potential to thrive, and our goal is to help unlock that potential. Through our specialised coaching programs and services, we work closely with children and young people to build their confidence, develop emotional resilience, and equip them with the tools they need to navigate life's challenges.
Our approach is nurturing, strengths-based, and grounded in a deep understanding of the unique needs of each individual we work with.
But our mission doesn't stop with the young people themselves. We recognise the vital role that parents, teachers, tutors, mentors, and coaches play in the development of children and young people. That's why we also offer tailored support for these caring adults, providing them with the skills, strategies, and insights needed to foster a positive and supportive environment. By empowering those closest to the child, we create a network of resilience that extends far beyond our coaching sessions.

The aim of children's life coaching is to empower young people to take charge of their lives and develop a positive mindset.
As Children's coaches we use a variety of tools and techniques such as; active listening, open questioning, goal-setting, visualization, empathy taking, and other strategies to help children understand their strengths and uniqueness to set achievable goals, and develop the confidence and skills needed to succeed
Are you looking for a tried and tested Children's Life Coaching Program that uses stories, games and the power of imagination to coach Life skills, resilience and confidence in children and young people?
As trained children's Life coaches we do this using a variety of skills such as self-awareness, emotional regulation, problem-solving, communication and decision-making. We also help children develop a growth mindset which helps build resilience, confidence as they learn how to handle worry & anxiety.
Coaching is not therapy. It doesn't diagnose, treat, or look backwards at past difficulties. Instead, it's a forward-focused, strengths-based process — one that meets children where they are and helps them grow from there.
Most children are never taught how to manage worry, understand their own brain, or recover from setbacks. Wise for My Size changes that. Through story, coaching, and proven tools, children aged 7–18 develop the self-awareness and resilience to navigate life — in school and beyond.
The power of self-talk Children learn to notice their inner voice — and change what it's saying. By understanding the difference between "shade talk" (the critical voice) and "shine talk" (the encouraging one), they build the habit of catching and reframing negative thoughts before they take hold.
How their amazing brain works Using simple, age-appropriate language, children discover how their brain forms habits, beliefs, and patterns — and how they can actively shape it. Grounded in real neuroscience, this builds a genuine growth mindset from the inside out.
Stepping out of the comfort zone Children explore what holds them back and why — then practise taking brave steps forward. They learn that discomfort isn't a stop sign; it's a signal they're growing. Skills include goal-setting, courage, and self-belief.
Understanding and handling worry Not all worry is the same — and most children don't know that. We help them identify four distinct types of worry, understand which they can influence, and build a personal toolkit for managing anxiety rather than being controlled by it.
Reading and managing their own energy Children learn to tune into how their body and senses affect their mood, focus, and behaviour. This is especially powerful for children who feel "too much" or "not enough" — helping them understand themselves rather than feel broken.
Making mistakes — and coming back stronger Children clarify their own values and use them as an anchor when things go wrong. Rather than shutting down after a mistake, they learn a clear, compassionate process for taking responsibility, repairing, and moving forward.
Behind every child who struggles is someone who wants to help them — and doesn't quite know how. That's exactly what we're here for. Book a free Discovery Call and let's talk about what your child or young person needs. We'll listen first, and go from there.
